For testing coolant, a light/dark dividing line is shown on the scale, up to which the temperature (in °C) of the coolant is protected. For testing battery acid, the acid concentration is displayed in kg/l and, in turn, broken down into grades such as TOP UP/ACCEPTABLE/SATISFACTORY.
An adjustable eyepiece permits adjustment to the visual acuity of the user.

Prolonged storage and high temperatures will cause a creeping decomposition of AdBlue®* operating additive. In case of new AdBlue®* operating additive, the reference line must coincide with the light/dark dividing line. Any displacement of the water line indicates the decomposition of AdBlue®* operating additive.

Measurement data of a refractometer are recorded by a digital camera. Usable with all standard refractometers. Digital camera centers and fixes itself by smart carriage system.
Associated software: Input screen allows entry of all relevant data such as: inspector, customer, license plate, etc. Selection of all possible fluids to be tested. Selection of “water-control-line”, for self-testing of the refractometer.
Allows manual adjustment of brightness, contrast and gamma of the output image for better readability, even in poor lighting conditions. Allows the output of the image in black and white, suitable for immediate printout. Data is displayed directly in the output image and stored. Documentation / save the image with integrated data in the selected directory. Very easy to use.

In combustion engines for automotive and heavy duty road vehicles, rail, gensets and industrial installations coolant is used for thermal protection of engine and power train and corrosion protection of the cooling system, increase of performance and safety during operation.
The monitoring and diagnosis of coolant as a preventive measure increases operation reliability and reduces operation costs. Furthermore the numbers of beakdowns and their consequential costs can be minimized.
